2024 Taxes must now be paid at the Roscommon County Treasurer's office. Our office cannot accept payments on those taxes. Please call the County Treasurer at (989) 275-5823.

Please use separate checks for summer and winter payments. We use different banks and cannot split those single checks.
You may delay the interest on your summer taxes if qualified. Call the office for more information and view the form below.
Each tax bill includes a newsletter printed on the reverse side. This includes important reminders and news for you. A copy of the newsletter can be viewed by clicking the button below.

Payment options

We offer multiple payment options for your convenience. We accept checks, cash and credit cards for tax payments. We accept partial payments. Please call the office for more information.

Pay BY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD

The card processing company we use charges a 3% fee in addition to the tax payment amount. You can pay with your credit card in person or 24/7 via the BSA website.   Due to high volume, we can no longer accept credit card payments over the phone.

Pay In Person

Our office has an outdoor locked drop box available to put payments into. A receipt will be mailed if requested. The drop box is located near the front entry of the building.
(Please do not put cash in the drop box)

Pay by mail

When mailing payments close to the due date, we will take the postmarked date on the envelope. If mailing on the due date, please take your envelope into the post office and have them hand stamp
your envelope so we can accept your payment as on time.
(Payments postmarked after the due date will incur a late charge)

Correcting payments
Please call our office for a correct payoff amount if your payment is mailed in after the due date. We do not send refund checks, so sending the correct amount helps your payment get processed faster.
(We cannot hold funds to apply to a future tax bill)

Dog Licenses

Roscommon County requires all dogs to be licensed. Cats no longer require a license as of November 2015.
Our office sells licenses from Nov. 1st through Feb. 28th. We require proof of rabies vaccine & spaying/neutering.
If your dog is fixed the licenses are $2.00 for senior citizens 62+ and $5.00 for everyone else.
If your pet is not spayed or neutered, the licenses are $10.00 for everyone.

AFTER Feb. 28th, licenses are available at the Animal Shelter & Roscommon County Treasurer for $40.00.
